I took this Friday, December 11, 2006 before heading out to get my lungs x-rayed to determine whether or not I have pneumonia. After several weeks of a spring-like tease, it was bitter cold here in the Delaware Valley and the first time this season I broke out my warm leather winter coat...I spent more time on this mod than I spend on most, and I'm still not all that crazy about it, but I'm posting it because it is the ultimate example of my color palette, it has all my fave colors in it! Modification completed the following day on Saturday, December 12, 2006 in the late afternoon - not in the wee hours for a change, imagine that! For the record, I do not have pneumonia, although I could barely walk across the room without getting winded, and my job requires lots of energy, especially when I need to make the kids smile for their pics...and I was looking, feeling and sounding very sick, so they sent me home Friday and told me to stay home on Saturday, and rest up so I can be there and ready to go bright and early tomorrow (Monday)!

Yes, that is the title! When I first saw this photo, I couldn't decide what it looked like the woman in the photo was feeling. Is she sad, frustrated, angry, or perhaps feeling a little seductive? One may ask what I was really thinking when I took the photo...well, I was concentrating on trying not to drop my heavy 35mm camera that I was painstakingly balancing with one hand while pointing it toward my face! My first response would normally be seductive, because I tend to make those faces a lot when posing, but I find my expression to be quite ambiguous, which is why I went with this title, so that I could l allow the viewer to make up his own mind! So please feel free to express your opinions. What do YOU think she is feeling? I will note that for some reason this photo caused quite a stir on another well known web site, and is to date my photo that has been most heavily modded by other artists - go figure! This is a modification of my very dear, beautiful, sweet friend Kisska, aka AngelicScars. It is an idea I've had in my head ever since I saw this photo of her, but never got around to it until I found out she was having a birthday, and figured it was the best excuse to put in the time and give it a try! We're talking lots of layers and color-tweaking here people, and an excessive amount of patience (even moreso if you're a perfectionist like me!) In other words, I wouldn't do this for just anyone! Modification completed 8/8/06 after pulling an all-nighter. Yes, I'm a determined little bugger!

Its a full moon tonight... i have been saving this one for this special night.... thank you mon-shari..............

I had a very interesting dream last night.... there was a symbol drifting through it of a women.... this women was one i was very familiar with... i new her well.. i new her in an unusual way.... my relationship with her was just in the comment boxes of flickr..... often.... you might say ever day.. i sent her comments... not sure if she understood how beautiful she was.... just what a great gift she was to the world of expressions.... as the dream drifted... i found myself ever wanting to write her another comment... and at moments i felt i had over done it..... only to write another comment....

drifting back and forth between nature and this women... i new i understood something about her that was far greater than words could express..... each image of her became more vivid... she began to stand taller... become bolder... more confident.... who was she i thought to myself... her name would not come to me...

i now new that i was dreaming.... when i become aware of this in my dreams i insure to hold tight.. not let my mind become conscious to the awake world.... yet take thoughts from my awake world to my dreams..... tell myself things... like when i wake up i will write this down.. i will look her up on the Internet and tell her about my dream...

in this case my plans became very focused... i was so sure i knew her well.... hold it... no... she is just a symbol..... no... i now i know her... the dream drifted on and i lost sight of her.... back she came.. strong as she drifted upon my mind..... i woke up to go to the bathroom...

as i lay back down my mind was once again drifting upon her..... it was clear to me... i knew her.. i knew her...

when i awoke it was time for me to get up... i had rested enough... the tea pot was calling....

i have written this dream out for my records..... very unusual things are happening in my life right now... i will be watching the symbols in this dream to tie them into events in my life... so much fun...

I felt it time to reveal one of my hobbies (and follow up such a sad photo with something a little more fun!) This is a still from a video project I made for my Digital Video Imaging class back in 1999 entitled "Barbie-volution - the evolution of Barbie". It was without a doubt the most time consuming project I've ever done in my life! The video is only three minutes long, but it took and entire semester to complete, and it is amazing - I made Barbie walk! Although I'm afraid I cannot take credit for the beautiful Bryce background graphic (created for me by H. Stephen D.), I did indeed take the photograph of the doll, create the waterspout, and put it all together to create this scene. The doll is Bob Mackie's "Neptune Fantasy" Barbie. She is my all time fave Barbie and the reason I began collecting.
